Whether conducted in bustling cities or quiet parks, Gene’s sessions emphasize direct observation, emotional connection, and clarity of form. Participants learn not only how to see — but how to translate complex spaces into powerful, expressive drawings.
Workshops are highly interactive, combining demonstrations, guided exercises, and personal feedback. Gene helps participants develop their own visual language and gain confidence in composition, linework, and color. He shares insights from his professional practice — including sketching for publication, planning large-scale murals, and working with cultural institutions.
In recent years, Gene has taught students ranging from schoolchildren to seasoned designers, architecture students, and art teachers. His hands-on, analytical approach helps each participant find their strengths, overcome obstacles, and make visible progress.
